Richard Rosenthal Named New CEO Of Mission: VALOR
Richard Rosenthal, a Navy Veteran and successful entrepreneur and businessman, has been selected by the Board of Directors to assume the duties of Chief Executive Officer effective 1 May 2016.

Richard has started and run several businesses over his 40+-year business career.  In addition, he has experience as a board member of the Kuvasz Club of America for which he has served as the Treasurer and Secretary.  He joined Mission: VALOR in 2015 to help Operation Audie, Mission: VALOR’s film and television focus area, and is involved with several film and television projects in Georgia, as well as real estate ventures.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1969.

“Being able to give back to our veterans by heading up Mission: VALOR is an honor,” states Rosenthal.  “The focus of Mission: VALOR at this time is Operation Audie and getting ‘vets on sets’ as part of the Georgia’s film and television industry.  As continues the industry continues to grow the opportunities for Operation Audie will do the same.  I look forward taking Mission: VALOR to the next level.”

Rosenthal will fill the role previously held by C. Blake Powers since Mission: VALOR was founded.  Powers will remain on the Board of Directors as acting chair.

Operation Audie, named in honor of veteran and film star Audie Murphy, is Mission: VALOR’s film and television focus area.  It is dedicated to helping troops and veterans find move into jobs in film and television production, direction, and acting.  Initial operations and development have begun in Georgia as Task Force DeForrest, named for veteran and actor DeForrest Kelly – a Georgia native.

Mission: VALOR is a 501(c)(3) charity focused on practical solutions to the crisis in veteran employment. The goal is to bridge the gaps in the system, and to assist veterans entering the civilian job market through internships, practicums, and mentors.  In the process, we also hope to provide them, their families, and our wounded veterans with whole life wellness education and opportunities.  Through this, the goal is to help them get not just jobs, but successful and rewarding careers.
